Chicken Manure is Bad for the Environment.   We consider the environmental impact chicken manure in the ground water.  There is much nitrogen and phosphate from the chicken droppings that makes the ground water filled with contaminants.  We explore how this common agricultural practice affects soil health, water quality, and air purity. Experts weigh in on the ecological footprint of chicken manure, discussing alternative sustainable practices for farming and gardening. While eating chicken is thought to be better for health, now the average American consumes 100 lbs of chicken per person annually.   There are areas in Southeastern US that have areas of contaminated ground water.  It is also important to think about eating more vegetarian meals to sustain the ecology of the planet.
